Two Pugpig apps shortlisted as finalists for ‘Best New Digital Product’ at the INMA Global Media Awards 2024
We’re thrilled that two Pugpig apps, CNN Business Arabic & The Logic have been named as finalists in the INMA Global Media Awards 2024. Winners will be announced at the World Media Congress on 25th April.

We’re thrilled to announce that two Pugpig apps have today been named as finalists in the INMA Global Media Awards 2024.
Toronto-based business and tech newsroom, The Logic, and Middle Eastern news platform, CNN Business Arabic, apps have both been shortlisted to win the ‘Best New Digital Product’ category of the awards.
For both brands, their entries focus on how the app addresses the needs of their respective audiences through innovative features, functionality and design.
The Logic entry showcases their slick article gifting feature, which was identified as an important element for their users while allowing them to tap into a brand new pool of potential subscribers. It also touches on the premium feel of the app, bolstered by its interactive and fully curated carousel for their award-winning newsletter, The Briefing, alongside the app’s deeply engaging timeline and UX.
For CNN Business Arabic, the entry centres on the app’s built-in AI ‘question and answer’ functionality, which makes it easy for readers to learn more about any topics discussed within their content.
It also illustrates the app’s vision to be the leading video-centric news platform in the MENA region after market research highlighted a clear gap in the market, as well as the app’s success in making the latest economics news easy to digest and accessible through interactive data charts – a key theme identified as important for their audience.

The 771 entries in this year’s Global Media Awards competition were judged by some 60 media experts from 23 countries, with the winners being announced at the INMA World Congress in London on 25th April.
