Iceland’s only daily newspaper, Morgunblaðið, has launched their brand new mobile app, Mogginn, on Bolt. It is the first news app of its kind in the country. 

Designed with user experience front of mind, readers can effortlessly navigate across multiple timelines to explore their full range of content. The app expands into multimedia with a dedicated video hub, home to a rich mix of video, podcasts, and radio content. Morgunblaðið’s daily digital editions, powered by X-Cago, deliver a seamless and convenient experience for everyday readers.

Bolt’s localisation functionality was leveraged to ensure a fully native-language experience throughout the app. Our Professional Services team provided standout support to the Morgunblaðið team on strategy and design to ensure the app aligned with their brand and met the needs of their modern readership.
