Digital-only local news outlet, Lookout Santa Cruz, launched mobile iOS and Android apps on Pugpig Bolt.

The app is the first to launch as part of an exciting new partnership between Pugpig and Newspack – the WordPress-powered news publishing platform – which kicked off officially earlier in the year.

App users are typically a news organisation’s most engaged readers. Local news brands like Lookout Santa Cruz will now have the tools they need to effortlessly engage audiences across web and mobile via one integrated solution. They’ll be able to easily offer readers a premium mobile experience and expand their reach while also streamlining internal workflows.

The Lookout Santa Cruz app is entirely out-of-the-box, and is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the range of deeply engaging features available on Pugpig Bolt – the platform supports audio, video, podcasts, live breaking news, digital editions/replicas, puzzles and so much more.
